So this review is for the A-model only. On to the pro's and con's...Pro's: 1.Nice color scheme. 2.The top knob turns the top and back rotors at the same time! 3.Landing gear is great and works really well. 4.Stickers (especially the cockpit ones) are cool looking. 5.Lots of detail! 6.Good play size and also looks good on display! 7.Hook can hold a minifig by the leg and seat is the right size for one! Cons: 1. Winch is slow to turn and can be very squeaky. 2.It's hard to tie the thread on the wheel. 3. Quite pricey. 4.No more! With both rotating blades and retractable landing gear, this helicopter looks fantastic when completed. You have the option of building it one of two ways, and the building experience is one of the most fun I have had. Once you get started putting this together then it's hard to stop.My 4 year old (almost 5) and I have been working on it off and on. It's too difficult for him to do by himself but with an adult's help it's a great parent/child "puzzle type project". The pieces fit together well, the instructions are clear, and it's pretty cool looking. 5 stars. A minor quibble: I wish it included a helicopter pilot but it doesn't. |
