He loves Boba Fett and Jango Fett, and those minifigures aren't easy to come by outside of larger, more expensive sets. Now he has four minifigures with the distinctive Mandalorian armor.Complexity: With just 68 pieces, this was a pretty easy set to build. My son assembled the minifigures while I put together the little speeder and the battle platform. The speeder is actually pretty neat, but you're obviously buying this set for the minifigures. Playability: It's a bunch of little dudes that look like Boba Fett! Of course it's a fun set to play with. My son has decided that (a) they're all bad guys, and (b) their names are Jango Fett (makes sense) plus Bob, Bill and Frank Fett. My son loves the minfigures more than he loves the big huge Lego sets. In the past we had bought the magnet minifigure sets which weren't too bad of a deal 3 for $15 but last time I went to the Lego store they said this was the last batch where the minfigures wouldn't be glued to the magnets because they don't want you to be able to purchase minifigures separately from the sets. Bummer because we just don't get too much use out of the big sets. He and his father put the big things together, then my son breaks them down, rearranges into his own creations and goes to town. The SW figures are his favorite and he REALLY likes this set--in fact, he paid for it himself. It's a great set to add figures for him to play with. Highly recommended! JTG |
