Probably will never buy one myself, but my son loved going from RV to RV and remembers and talks about that day.So when we saw this new Lego set he had to have it. After my son saved $11 for half of it, I chipped in the other half and bought it. It was pretty easy for him to assemble (although I wish all the instruction booklets would resemble the "Lego 3 in 1 Creator" sets, those instructions are super clear with the pieces needed for each step illustrated in left hand corner, makes for very easy assembly). That said, the steps in this set were not too hard to follow. I also like the fact that this set has some unique color (a Burgundy Red) and some cool new pieces. It is also a very small set so it is easy to carry and store. The pieces match perfectly (It's a Lego product), and the attention to detail is very nice. The stickers are pretty cool too. It's basic enough to fuel their imagination and lends itself to conversation as you assemble the pieces. This set is probably a bit challenging for the just turned 5 set but that's not a bad thing. The youngest children will grow in to it and can have fun making simpler models with the pieces. In general, Lego sets are expensive but this is a good value and a special treat! |
