5.0 out of 5 stars ripped off, July 12, 2010

Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I ordered 10 Lego Minifigures for $1.99 each from Toy Trading Company but they charged me $4.99 each for shipping and handling. All figures were packed in the same box with a shipping weight of 6oz. Toy Trading company was completely unhelpfull in explaining why they were charging me more than twice as much as my order for shipping 6oz. of plastic parts. Don't make the same mistake I did. It is ridiculous and I feel ripped off. They have now changed their prices but their shipping policy is still the same. This is a total rip off.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good idea but poorly handled, June 23, 2010

I'm an adult fan of Lego and I was really excited about these mystery Lego figures. In the past I've done the "mystery" bag/pack thing (Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering) so I understood going in that just because you buy 20 packs doesn't mean you are going to get everything you hoped for (seriously, I must have opened 50+ Pokemon card packs in the 90s looking for a Charizard and I never got one). That's kinda the point (and fun) of the "mystery" bags really. But I'm not impressed with the way Lego has handled these items. Why? Because I think:

1. There should have been more made available to the public. If Lego had made more available, there would definitely be less opportunity for toy dealers and scalpers to jack the prices on a silly $2 item. I understand the whole supply/demand thing and wanting to get as much profit as possible, especially from adult collectors willing to spend large amounts of money, but seriously. This is a $2 toy.

2. There should have... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars best $2 I've spent in a LONG time, June 24, 2010

I'm hooked on these little figures and have made countless trips to TRU, LEGO stores and LEGOLAND. I have quite a # of these little guys now for both myself and my son. I can tell you that there are NO RARE figures. LEGO did not make more of one figure over another. With a case consisting of 60 figures and a set consisting of 16 figures your going to have a few less of a few figures. Each case has ATLEAST 3 OF EACH figure (16 x 3 = 54) so don't blame LEGO if you can't find a certain figure. In my hunting I've come across cases that have had certain figures like the zombie, robot and cheerleader missing so you have to blame the collector(s) or Ebay sellers that are creating a artificial market for these which is pretty sad.

Also if your not aware yet YOU CAN TELL WHICH FIGURE IS IN EACH BAG. Each bag has a different UPC code in the upper right corner on the BACk of the bag. Each of the 16 figures has a unique UPC code. Do a search on the net for the UPC code list... Read more
