I really like this set. It is certainly up to Lego's extremely high quality standards. Like all Duplo sets, this is intended for toddlers (let's say 1 - 4 year olds).

Sidenote: as kids approach 5, they're probably just fine with regular Lego, which will have much more long-term playability. Do remember that Lego and Duplo are compatible to some extent: Duplo is basically twice as big as Lego in every dimension (hence the name?) so a couple of thick 4 x 2 Lego bricks will fit on a 2 x 2 Duplo brick. Thin Lego pieces will not fit, nor will the little figures. The reality is that I rarely used my Duplo and Lego in an overlapping way once I was older than 6.

I bought this set for my neighbor's daughters, who are 2 and 4 years old. I think it... Read more

I bought this along with a generic Duplo set for my daughter's first birthday. She really likes the Pooh that came with it and enjoys putting the Duplos together and then pulling them apart again. Sadly, the "bread" is not very bread-like and she calls it "Pooh" also, and I can see why (PLUS she has Pooh sit on the honey-pot as a regular potty). So, if you are potty-training a child and don't want them to embarrass you in front of grandma maybe this isn't a great toy. Otherwise this is a fun (and funny) set.
