Our oldest daughter who is 19, grew up with Harry Potter and used to spend hours building the Harry Potter Lego Sets, (if she'd only have saved them!!) and now it's my youngest daughter's turn. At eleven, this was her first kit. This is an inexpensive smaller set and she had a great time putting it together. We built this little Dobby kit in an hour or two and had a great time. This kit has a lot of cute little details such as Malfoy falling, little flames, and Dobby is totally sweet with his little sock!

The new generation of Harry Potter Legos that are hitting the stores now are fabulous! Have you seen Hogwart Castle? It looks brilliant. This set though, is small and fun with a lot of special detail to make it really cool when it's put together. With winter coming I think these new sets would make rainy days fun and renew the wonder of Harry Potter for the younger kids. I'd like to get all of the new sets and if this Dobby kit is a sampling of what the other sets have in... Read more

I love this set! A lot of details such as dobby's soft head and pointy noise. Being a Lego and Harry potter fan, this set is so much fun to have.

My grandkids are totally into LEGO, and they love Harry Potter (who doesn't?!), as well. We got them Hagrid's Hut for Christmas, and also the Harry Potter LEGO board game, and they liked them so much that we're collecting the whole set. "Freeing Dobby" was a special request. The kids love putting these together, and they don't even know how it uses their analytical skills! We spend hours together working on these; next we'll be getting the Quiddich set and the Minotaur game. LEGO toys last forever; my son still has a large rubber trashcan full of them from when he was their age. These toys are good for all ages; I have a blast myself helping the kids build the kits. I'm looking forward to working on more with them; hopefully we can someday build Hogwarts.
