I was very impressed by this lego set. It's as intricate and detailed as the Harry Potter or Star Wars lego sets. There are two small bags of legos inside. As I started assembling, I was very impressed by the attention to detail and realistic build of the lego set.

Olivia is a minifigure with separate brunette hair, smiling head, body with articulated arms, and bottom with articulated legs. She can hold all of the tools included. The only downside is that she's wearing sandals (a no-no in any laboratory, especially one that has chemicals), but I may paint in the sandals later so it looks like her toes are safely covered.

There are 5 stations/mini sets to build. There is the blackboard station with scientific drawings, the microscope station with red jewel to investigate and a flask of fluid, a storage station with 6 bottles of colorful chemicals, a workshop station with a clamp, 2 drawers that open and close, and 6 tools (wrench, hammer, socket, drill,... The first time my daughter (age 5) saw the pink legos, she was so excited. However, after she took a closer look at the sets she asked "Do they have a pink space shuttle?" This inventors shop and the treehouse are perfect for her. We were happy to find them at amazon. It is very detailed, she particularly likes the microscope and little tools. She put it together all by herself. The tree house was a little more difficult and I need to help. I encourage lego to make more sets like this. Not all girls love pet shops and bakeries.

I bought this toy for my 6-year old son who wants to be a scientist when he grows up. I know, it is a girl set, but Lego doesn't offer any gender-neutral labs, so I figured this Lego science lab was better than no Lego science lab at all. My son agreed. I told him he could replace some of the pink pieces with other colored pieces from his collection but he never bothered, it didn't matter that much to him.
