I have had to sit down and glue these pieces so they can play with them. The pieces feel lighter. Although it was fun building it initially, it doesn't have as much "replay" value as other toys, like the Castle legos do. He did use some of its parts with his other Legos to make different things. He says it wasn't as much fun as he thought it would be, it has no "pizazz". He is a big SpongeBob fan, but this toy just "isn't exciting enough". The crabby patties are just adorable, and the kids love playing with all the minifigures. However, this set takes a very long time to construct and once it's done, well, it just doesn't stay together very long at all and will not withstand much play. This one actually brought some tears because it just took SO much time and when it was done, fell apart so very quickly. If you're looking for the minifigures, then go ahead and try to find it on sale somewhere like we did. But if you're looking for a set that will withstand play, well, I'd suggest getting something like Indiana Jones or Power Miners.However, I do recommend this set somewhat because of the uniqueness of it and I honestly think it will be a collector's item in time. But if you're looking for something that will withstand play, skip this one for sure and go for the more durable sets. |
