You don't know what you're getting, but you know it's going to be an interesting new minifigure. They're also pretty addictive. Once you have a few you feel compelled to complete a set. I picked up a handful at a local discount store and ended up with the Maraca Man. This is probably the most stereotypical minifigure Lego has released, but I have to say it's an awfully cute figure. He's got a fabric poncho, huge sombrero and a pair of maracas (ours came with three, actually), plus the basic figure stand. Maybe series 3 will include a guitar-toting mariachi figure to go with him.
