Guggenheim Museum (21004) (Toy) I'm a major league Frank Lloyd Wright fan, as well as a Lego lover. But I was disappointed by this product - it's rather pricey, and the item is quite small (as a reviewer on another site mentioned, it's about the size of a US dollar bill, and about four inches tall.The FLW Fallingwater model was much more interesting, and although more expensive is larger, more fun to assemble, and more true to the architecture of the place. Although it was a very simple project for him (It took about 10 minutes), at least it was something different from a Star Wars spaceship. The finished product is a nice keepsake with a nameplate, but it is surprisingly small (not even four inches tall) so it seems like a lot of money for something so small and easy to assemble, but it is one that will remain on display in my son's room. My only complaint (and I realize I could have figured this out pre-purchase had I carefully read the measurements) is that it is TINY! When spending $50+ on a Lego set I had a certain size in mind for the finished product and it is about a third of the size I had in mind. So it's a bit expensive for what you get, but still a good set. |
