It was a bit complicated to put together because he lost 2 lego pieces, but we just modified it a bit and it went together well. I do have to say that it was surprisingly durable, but found that it would come apart in the same place numerous times (easy to put back together but sort of broke up his play). We just fixed it with gorilla glue LOL. Neat moving parts ... if you are mechanical and patient, I would highly recommend this because it really was a fun toy. All of the vehicles, creatures, and characters are colorful, and having actual named characters as part of your set theme, really adds to both the collectibility and theme storyline. These are much better (and more well-received) then the LEGO Ninja sets from a decade ago.
