I got it for 6 year old. He loves Lego. He enjoyed putting this set together by himself.

My son, who has recently become obsessed with dinosaurs LOVES this Lego set. What I love about it is that with the exception of the teeth and claw pieces, these are all "normal" Lego pieces. This means that the set demonstrates how one can take regular Lego pieces and turn them into something extraordinary.

My son is normally quite patient with building sets, however, this one was deceptively difficult. The legs and body are actually quite time consuming and involve more pieces that it looks like. So, if your goal is to let your kid make this all by herself, then it is best to save it for a more experienced Lego builder.

The finished product is quite robust. The T-Rex my son and I made has been around now for more than a month and he plays with it often. The arms, legs, tail and head can all be positioned, so the T-Rex can be in some great poses. The other two models are not quite as well done. I purchased this for my grandson for Christmas. He LOVES Legos and dinosaurs, so this was a winner! He is 6 years old and enjoys the challenge of putting them together.
