I bought it for him as an "end of the school year gift". He built it and has been playing with ALL his Legos since!! In my opinion it was worth the $$ I spent. I'm tired of kids having to be entertained by tv and video games. Toss out the tv and video games and buy your kids Legos :-) My only complaint about Legos is that I don't always want to buy Lego Lord of the Rings, Batman, Alien, etc. I know that is what most people in the world like...the fighting, shooting, etc., but our family doesn't. I'd like friendly Dinosaurs, maybe a camping Lego set, or maybe a hunting or fishing set. For months, he would bring it up. He was enthralled by the whole idea of a spike-fronted vehicle designed to trap a triceratops. The Lego folks really know how to get at the heart and soul of a boy... Finally, we bought the set here. As soon as he saw it, he put his game face on and got right down to it. Two hours of complete silence followed, broken only by the rattling of Lego pieces being sorted through and the occasional riffle of the pages of the instruction booklet.Then: The triumphant unveiling. He proudly brought the finished piece to show Mommy and Daddy, and I must say it's really gorgeous. It's quite large, with multiple moving parts, sturdy wheels, trapping gates, and Lego guys with guns and reversible faces that change from "OMG, a TRICERATOPS!!!
