I would certainly recommend Fire Lord to any Bionicle or Hero Factory fan like me. I own eight Bionicles -- Vastus, Kiina, Mata Nui, Phantoka Chirox, Vorox, Ackar, Mistika Tahu, Toa Inika Nuparu, and Pohatu and the Rockoh T3 -- and four Hero Factory -- Fire Lord, Von Nebula, Xplode, and Rotor. What I like about Fire Lord is the completely new, stronger pieces and the great looks.One of the biggest problems with Bionicle is that the connectors in their joints fracture very easily. Almost all of the Bionicles that I own have hairline cracks in their joints that are nearly impossible to mend. Once they get cracks in their connectors, they cannot hold objects up for as long, or support weight as well as when they did not have cracks. This is a big problem for the Bionicle products, as I found that they develop these cracks very quickly. However, connectors for the Fire Lord are thicker. He can put them together mostly by himself by following the instructions/blueprints and they are actually durable enough to stay together while he plays with them which is something I definitely can't say about most of the other Lego toys.(I'm looking at you Star War Lego toys). We have both Lego Hero Factory DVD's and he loves to watch them and play with the toys at the same time...and then make up stories for them once the show is over.
