When I told her there were girl legos, she was so excited. We spent a long time checking out the different sets in the series and finally decided upon this one as our first project.We weren't disappointed! This set is fabulous. And very girly. It has two dogs, it has a girl, it has water for the doggy bathtub and brushes and accessories for the dogs. And of course it is pink and purple. It also inspires a nice story line--it was easy to play "dog show" for several hours. And it was just complicated enough to teach her all the skills she needed to learn to build, but not complicated enough to thwart her. So if you have a girl who's interested in legos but not interested in boy things, this is it. She now has 4 of the set, and is asking for the rest. The best part of these Legos is that she learned to follow instructions and has managed to put together 75% of the set together by herself ,which she is very proud of herself. The one thing as an adult, her mom and I didn't care for is all the very, very tiny accent pieces that are included. If you have a small child in the house , toddler may easily pick them up and swallow. My grand daughter won't take them apart and displays them in her bedroom. Play wise I don't know how much she plays with it , as much as she likes showing it off to visitors. |
