The build is great, features nice landscaping and a cool technique to create the curved wall. The minifigures are awesome and it features two of the new lego horses! I heartily recommend this set for Lego fans and LotR fans alike!! 7 of 8 people found the following review helpful Intricate Details & Full of Character(s)!, = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: LEGO The Lord of the Rings Hobbit Attack on Weathertop (9472) (Toy) Ok, this set is just awesome. First the characters: Frodo, Aragorn, Merry, and the Ringwraiths. A fantastic cast of characters that adds considerably to the entire Lord of the Rings LEGO series. Plus, the Ringwraiths ride on the new LEGO horses, which are beautifully designed specifically for the wraiths. These new horses have the ability to stand in a rearing position, which is a very welcome improvement. Frodo comes with the One Ring, and the sword Sting. The set itself is fantastic, a unique spiraled staircase, secret chamber inside, weapons racks, trap door, bolt-firing mechanism, campfire, and intricate details throughout, including little statues. I can't say anything bad about it! 7 of 8 people found the following review helpful Hardly worth $60, By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: LEGO The Lord of the Rings Hobbit Attack on Weathertop (9472) (Toy) Like the other reviews have said, this set is small. While it contains two of the new style horses, a spiral staircase and a few decorations, this set is otherwise unremarkable.PACKAGING: This set contains one instruction manual (full sized) that is about 74 pages long. It is loose in the box (not attached to cardboard), so you will want paperweights. This set contains four bags of LEGO bricks, you only need to open one at a time to construct this set. The minifigures are spread throughout the bags, but there is only five of them and they're easily distinguishable from one another, the time saving is minimal. Bag 1 constructs the horses, Ringwraiths, and the extra rock and bush. Bag 2 constructs half of the lower half of Weathertop (the entrance), bag 3 constructs the other lower half (spiral staircase). Bag 4 constructs the top, and has most of the extras and decorations. BONUS: Included with this set is an orange plastic brick... Read more |
