In addition to an array of new sets, they've come up with a Pokemon/Bakugan-style game and a storyline that's all but begging for a Saturday morning cartoon. I picked up the small Ninja Training Outpost set to see how my son liked the new series. It's essentially a black-suited ninja minifigure (his name is Cole apparently) and a bunch of training gear and weapons.Complexity: The set has 45 pieces, and they're almost all weapons. You have to construct a sort of display stand and a target for archery practice, but it's fairly simple. I think we spent 10 minutes at most putting it together. Playability: It's a ninja with a bunch of weapons; so yeah, this one is getting played with a lot! I have no doubt that we'll eventually lose a dagger or two, but this little set has a lot of play value for the money. Although this set is pretty small with a box the size of 2 decks of cards side by side.Still, it was perfect to make together with my little niece who is almost 4. |
