My 8 year old had no problem putting it together and spent hours playing with it. His favorite part was to capture any of the many minifigs we have and fly off with them (the legs detach to make the walker a flying saucer). Took less than an hour and fairly straight forward. Lots of playability. Detachable saucer with a prisoner pod. Love the alien clinger. Unfortunately the alien clinger has to be removed because the businessman is a snug fit in the pod. The tripod actually moves quite well. Too many stickers. He has built and reconfigured it numerous times and it is always featured in his imaginary play (I find it quite amusing when the aliens attack the castle series characters myself. Have you ever seen a knight fend off a clinger? A catapult vs. a spaceship? You have not truly given free reign to your inner Master Builder until you see Predator vs. Sir Gawain). |
