She was thrilled to have some pink blocks as well as the bunnies. Got some new shapes as well, which is nice for expanding our building options. I would buy more Duplo sets like this one if Lego made them. I will not buy the princess-themed ones and the cake-themed one seems very limited to me. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful Cute Starter Set, By Ben C.A. Nettle (The Last Frontier) - See all my reviews = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: LEGO Bricks and More DUPLO Pink Brick Box 4623 (Toy) This is the first set we purchased for our daughter (so far). We got them as an easter present, as it just seemed to fit. The pink is pretty adorable, and the colors of the blocks are all just plain cute. I don't remember them catering to girls nearly as much when I was little. The rabbits, carrots, and flowers are all favorites, and our daughter will wander around with a rabbit in each hand playing.Initially I had thought a 30 piece set would be far too few for enjoyment (from my Lego days), but she really has a ball with them, configuring them every which way. The lid to these snaps on nicely and has plenty of room for more in the bin. With 30 of them, it is plenty of parental work to find them all at the end of the day, so the number of blocks is a good fit. Our daughter stays well entertained, which makes us happy as well. And how can you go wrong with Legos? 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful One of our favorite toys, plus great customer service!, By Reader Writer "Mary" (Missouri) - See all my reviews = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: LEGO Bricks and More DUPLO Pink Brick Box 4623 (Toy) My 4-year-old and nearly 2-year-old both love this toy! My 4-year-old loves to make the different bunny houses according to the pictures in the book. It's really boosted her confidence to be figuring things out on her own, plus I feel like it's laying the ground work for simple math and patterns. She also enjoys coming up with her own structures. The nearly 2-year-old loves to fiddle with the bricks and build her own little structures for the bunnies to sit on. The set is a great balance of building blocks, plus the "extras" of a fence piece, carrots, bowl and flowers. We unfortunately lost the brown bunny a couple weeks ago, and never found it. After looking around on ebay, I finally used the Lego website to ask for a replacement part. Their customer service was excellent--I was on hold less than a minute and they were very proactive in helping me out. I loved Duplo as a kid (and Lego), and I think it's safe to say my kids will be growing up with them, too! |
