In this model, the escape pod is much more detailed and bigger then the previous version making it more realistic. Additionally, the previous escape pod version only came with two mini figures that included R2-D2 and C3PO. In this model you are getting the additional two sand troopers that are well worth it. The two sand troopers boast a new armor that looks like they've been in an actually sand storm. The speeder bike that is included in the model is not that detailed, but is a nice addition for the sand troopers.Overall, this is a great model to get for the money. I have really enjoyed it so far. The escape pod is one of the best small lego vehicles I have seen in a long time. The cabin fits both C3-PO and R2-D2. Also, the two droids are really cool. The C3-PO actually had eyes and the mid-section reveals his wiring. Also, R2 still has movable legs. The Sand troopers are the best part of the set. One has an orange sash on his shoulder and the other has a white one. The troopers are worn and weathered looking so that you get the impression that they have actually been in battle. The speeder is basic and ok, but it is a minor feature of the set. This set is worth the purchase just because of the four mini figures.
