She plays with this EVERY SINGLE DAY.It's her first Duplo and she LOVES Mater. Sure it doesn't have a lot of pieces but she's not after how many pieces there are. She's after the interactive part. The cannon is amazing. It holds up to time after time of reuse. She loves to insert the cannonballs and watch it fire and shoot the target. GREAT cause and effect for a toddler, boy or girl. It's also a wonderful toy to teach hand-eye coordination. She has to insert the cannonball perfectly in order for it to snap. She has to place the targets within range. She has to align the cannon just right so it will hit the target. It's incredibly educational as it teaches her the laws of physics at such a young age. She also has to assemble Mater correctly so the cannon doesn't tip over. If it's too front heavy or back heavy she won't be able to press the cannon button. She has to assemble & align the Duplo... There are only 10-15 pieces in this set, so dont expect it to keep a child's attention for very long. There is very little rebuild value for this lego set on its own.
