They're great except that all this lego stuff seems outrageously priced for pieces of plastic!! (Hence four stars.) To clarify one of the other reviews about size -- the specs indicate size based on number of holes -- not inches. So, description is correct, i.e., 8 holes x 8 holes. Very disappointing when you are expecting 16x8 and 8x8! The plates are very easy to put blocks on and provide a lot of options to play.Very sturdy, lightweight and there are no sharp edges for the safety of young children.
