4.0 out of 5 stars Fool's Gold, August 21, 2012

Series 7 of LEGO's minifigure line offers some historical flavor with the Aztec Warrior, complete with an elaborate helmet, spear and shield. Its one drawback is that it's always advertised in gold-plated gear--which is actually a matte pale yellow plastic. Even if the gold added to the cost . . . actually, that would make the figure easier to identify upon purchasing. At least it maintains good balance with the large headdress on, even without the small black base.

This toy is recommended for Ages 5+.

5.0 out of 5 stars Aztec Awesomeness!!, August 19, 2012

Do LEGO Mini-figs really need reviews? They're just fun, that being said, this is one of my favorites from the series. The paint app on the body is very top notch and full of detail, and the accessories included really tie the whole Aztec look together. What's most impressive about this one is the headdress that really isn't done proper justice in photos, it's very big and well sculpted. My only complaint is that a lot of pictures make it the headdress very shiny, I expected it to almost gold like and glossy, but it's not. It's more of a mat gold color with painted highlights. Still a great little figure though!
