Like smaller lego sets, this dosn't come with a lot of bricks or parts. The cars go together simply, which is great for younger kids who are just learning how lego type blocks work. We use them with larger blocks right now and plan to get a generic non-Cars)set of Duplos for him to use along with his Cars specific parts. He just turned 3 and loves cars, trucks etc. He quickly put the wheels on the car and enjoyed playing with it but there really wasn't much that he could do with the blocks and the green cactus. He wanted to make a garage for the car but it was impossible. This item needs additional blocks to make it educational and more fun. I am getting him a tub of Duplo blocks for Christmas.
