I'm a medium Star Wars fan, not obsessed. But I loved Legos as a kid, and now that my kids are 6 and 8, we have a ball building things from my beloved blocks that my mom saved all this time, god bless her. Bought my son some Duplos, that was good for a year or so, but he ached to use the regular legos, which I feared were too small for him. My mistake! I should have eagerly embraced his interest, since it increases fine motor control and encourages imagination.

So the combination of Star Wars and Legos hits real close to my heart, and I snapped up all three of these planet/building sets the second I saw them. We built them in a jiffy, and enjoyed the presence of Lego Star Wars planets immensely. (well, maybe that's mostly me)

The sets are tiny and fragile, so we've had lots of breakdowns. Be prepared for that--they're not so good on the playing field. But they're a cute gift, and we're planning on adding the planets to our solar system mobile. And even if... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice collectible, September 8, 2012

Not only does this set contain nice model of planet Tatooine (which can be placed on it's own little stand, or it can hang by tying some string to a little piece on the top - you could even use these planets as decorations on Christmas tree), you also get very rare Sebulba minifigure.

I think that building this set can be a little bit difficult for young/inexperienced builders because of very small pieces used in the set, but it's nothing to worry about, considering relatively small number of bricks. Fortunately, model is sturdy and you don't have to be extra careful with it. You also get lot of great-looking bricks, a lot of them in appealing orange color.

In conclusion, it's a very nice and detailed set and Star Wars fans will surely love it. However, you should take into account that it is to be considered as a decoration, not as a toy.

1 Tatooine, 1 Sebulba w/ 1 wench, 1 podracer, 1 stand/plaque.
Easy build, 80 pieces (offering the most out of the Series 1 sets).

Sebubla's podracer is very intricate for its size.

Mine came with 3 spare parts.
